Sonoma is a true agricultural wonderland with dozens of artisan dairies and specialty food producers as well as a huge micro-brewing community-- there is literally something for everybody.
Roughly 4 times larger than Napa Valley Sonoma has everything from warmer northern valleys to cooler coastal ranges, to the natural fog highway that is the Russian River with abundant sunlight throughout the year. This great diversity of climate means every type of wine grape can be splendidly grown in one of Sonoma County’s wine regions. Whether you are a fan of Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley, or looking for Russian River Pinot Noir, Cabernet from Alexander Valley or Chardonnay from Green Valley—Terrific Tours will help you find the perfect Sonoma wines for your table.
No single grape stands above the rest in Sonoma wine country because every grape grows great! With several distinctive viticulture areas (17 at last count), we can take you wine tasting in Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, Russian River, Green Valley, Rockpile, Bennet Valley, Sonoma Valley, Knights Valley, Fort Ross/Seaview, Carneros, Sonoma Coast, Chalk Hill, Sonoma Mountain, Moon Mountain, Northern Sonoma and the newer Cloverdale Peak or Fountaingrove region. There’s something for everybody!
