Trevor & Gennifer founded the business on one simple principle; to share their passion for wine with every guest. Trevor's first foray into the wine industry was to establish a premiere wine bar and Jazz venue, Zebulon's Lounge. It was here that his palate was trained to recognize the subtle variations between vintages, unlock and describe the complex depth of flavors in a glass of Merlot or Meritage.
Building on partnerships formed at the wine bar and getting a rush funding wineries not on the map, he has helped Terrific Tours gain the reputation as one of the most insightful wine tour companies in Sonoma or Napa. Scouring the Sonoma Coast for an elegant Pinot Noir or the hillsides of Napa Valley for an incredible Cabernet, Trevor has tasted at more than 650 local producers and carved out a strong niche in wine country by pairing not just food with wine, but wineries with his clients!
Travis has been in the business since 1999 when he started as a wine sales representative/consultant. Since then he has tasted hundreds of local wines, as well as wines from around the world, pouring for restaurant and retail accounts throughout the west coast. In 2007 he furthered his wine education by receiving the Court of Master Sommeliers certification. His hobbies include making/tasting beer and wine, hiking, mountain biking, playing golf and most of all sailing in the SF Bay.
“Prof. Paul” has been in the wine business since 1973 when he began working with his family wine business. Stints with the finest wine buyers in California and managing multi-state wine departments for large retailers brought him eventually to Kenwood vineyards, where he ultimately became the National sales director for three prestigious brands. Since 2011 Paul has been on the Faculty at Santa Rosa Junior College, and we are very proud to have him on the team! You want stories about wine, there could be no better storyteller!
BRENT "Augie" AUGUSTINE
“Augie” has a long track record serving wine in some of the finest restaurants in Napa and Sonoma including John Ash and The Meadowood in Napa and many more in between. When he’s not motoring around in his vintage cars he’s leading his tours with passion and bright bow-ties!
Starting his wine and spirits career 20 years ago at Young’s Market Co as a successful Sales Rep and District Manager, Aaron was certified as a Sommelier and has worked with many well known wineries including Lynmar, Landmark, and Gary Farrel before joining our team.
A true native of Northern California Jake started his career in the wine industry in Eureka, CA, working as a server at Restaurant 301, which offered more than 3400 wine selections and over 27,000 bottles in inventory. While working there Jake learned how to create the perfect wine pairings for a menu that changed daily.
As a student at SSU he retained his passion for wine while serving tables in some of Sonoma County's best restaurants like the French Garden and Charlie Palmer's Dry Creek Kitchen of Healdsburg.
In 2013 Jake started working for his first winery - Sullivan Family Vineyards. As one of only 14 total employees, Jake quickly learned everything about the wine-making process - from growing grapes and harvesting them, to bottling and aging wine. Wanting to see more of what both regions have to offer, Jake has been guiding wine tours through Napa and Sonoma for the last few years, and is happy to share his knowledge with our guests!
The voice behind the scenes is our newest team member! While Michelle is new to the wine business she is a Sonoma County native and will be happy to help you plan your trip through her backyard!
